A station cadet performs various tasks within the Police Department’s Administrative Division in conjunction with a formal training program designed for career enhancement into the law enforcement field. Assignments include but are not limited to clerical assignments, assisting the public, inventorying evidence and property, and assisting Police Dispatch. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, enrollment in an accredited/recognized college with 24 semester units being accumulated annually toward a degree, possession of a valid Class C California Driver’s license and a good driving record, ability to pass an intensive background investigation, psychological evaluation and physical exam, must be 18 years or older and must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without accommodation.
